Thanks to Phillips Brewing

Phillips Brewing has been a staple in the local beer scene long before the craft beer explosion – I am excited to welcome them as the December tap takeover brewery. This time of year we all reminisce on the good old summer days, and what better way to get a taste of summer again than with the a nice crisp witbier? Scarface cranberry orange Wit will simultaneously transport you mentally to the sunny days of summer and awaken your holiday spirit with the generous helping cranberry and sweet citrus added to every brew of this delicious witbier. If you are like me and want a crisp and hoppy beer without the sedative effects of excessive ethanol, I recommend the Bottle Rocket ISA that is teeming with a perfect amount of hop notes that are apparent all the way through from the aroma to the last sip, with a crisp finish that is free of excessive bitterness of other hopped ales. The 6IX double dry-hopped IPA is generously hopped with 6 pounds of hops (that’s a lot)! added at various stages of the brew to attain an optimum hop explosion; the brew is so delicious that Phillips have added it to their permanent line. On these dark days a lot of hop heads struggle to pick a beer that is hoppy and reflective of the dark days outside; worry not, for the Black Toque Black IPA is here with a nutty and chocolatey malt backbone, and the NW hop profile to give you your hop fix. Like every meal is incomplete without a dessert, a flight is incomplete without one either, and the Odyssey Nitro Porter has a creamy and smooth mouth feel that enhances the dark chocolate profile without a cloying sweetness.
